I simply remember my favorite things...

Well, Audra tagged me to write my 10 favorite things. So, in no particular order…

Prayer…isn’t prayer awesome?!! Our direct line to God 24-7. It is so comforting. Some of the most wonderful times I had in college were spent with my MSU sisters in prayer time. Prayer allows me to open up and pour it all out. Seeing the answers to my prayers is awesome. God, if he so chooses, can work fast! Once I consider all the answers He’s given, I begin thanking God for all of the blessings in my life.

Justin…my favorite person in the whole world!! He is such an awesome man. Who doesn’t like him? I am so fortunate that we’re a pair. His attitude and work ethic are amazing! I learn so much from his positive can do attitude. He provides for our family through the easy and tough times. Justin is so handy around the house too! I am always nervous when he takes on house projects or car repairs, but every time it turns out well! He’ll whip out the screw driver and go to town and vola la, it’s done! He is always up for a project (sometimes to my dismay; I favor naps). He is also great with chores (*thanks*)! Justin’s funny, as if you didn’t already know that. What a hoot! I love giggling with him all the time. His comedy always changes my mood, even when I’m mad. I cannot stay mad at him for more than a minute, really. But the most important is his sincerity and love for God. I love hearing him sing too (at church and anywhere else). Trust me it’s not pretty, but he’s so cute when he sings. He makes up songs for me and I love it!! And wow, what a hunk he is in his Sunday best!!!! Also, how many guys do you know would give up TV without a fuss? Mine did!! I’ll stop here before it gets too long.

Fall…the sky is bluer, the wind is cooler, leaves skip along the sidewalk, trees swish in the breeze! Ahhh, I love it! What a wonderful time of year. I feel like a new person every time I walk outside. So rejuvenating! Also, college football starts.

Sleep…oh boy how I love it. Lying down after a day of work, there is nothing better! Resting my head on the pillow is luxury! I can sleep pretty much anytime of the day, almost anywhere.

Lucy…my favorite puppy! She is a constant companion. I don’t know what I’d do without her these days. She provides a great sense of security, which is really important to me. Even though she has some settling down to do, overall she’s wonderful. Lucy is great entertainment too. I love watching all her funny quirks. When she was a new puppy, I would hold her all day long. Really, I’m not kidding. Justin came home with me still in my PJ’s holding Lucy. I told him I couldn’t move because I’d wake her up. Of course, I’m not like that now. If we get this much joy from a dog, I can only imagine what it will be like with a kid.

Mama, Daddy, Leigh…What a great fam I have! Leigh and I are so fortunate to have been brought up in a house that loves and serves God. Mama and Daddy are such great examples. They are so generous and selfless! They both have amazing endurance. How awesome is it that Leigh lives right down the street from me? It is so great. She is so much fun and so talented. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t know ¾ of the songs I know! If you haven’t had the opportunity to hang out with her, what a treat you are in for when you do! Both Mama, Daddy, and Leigh are always eager to be excited when I am excited, comforting when I’m down, and open ears to hear all details of my life…(*thanks*!)

Grandma and Papa…in Tallahassee. There is nothing better than sitting at Geem’s & Pop’s house drinking coffee at their kitchen table, working the crossword or Jumble, Grandma cooking something wonderful and Papa rarin’ to debate the latest/hottest topic. If we aren’t in the kitchen we are in the sewing room working out a sewing project, while Papa makes our ears happy with his music. I love going to their house and spending time with them. There is never a lack of entertainment or activity. I have to be one of the luckiest girls in the world to have such amazing grandparents. If only everyone could have a chance to experience family love!

Reading…I don’t do enough of it. But I love leaving everything behind and enter an imaginary world or engross myself in a topic. It’s relaxing and (once again) a luxurious experience.

Photographs…I can never look at enough photographs. I love how cameras capture images of emotion. There is something mysterious about pictures, but at the same time comforting. I love looking at my grandparents and parents when they were youngins’ or even strangers! It is one of my favorite things.

Friends…I have so many great friends! I love seeing them again and again. There are so many fun times we have had together. I love being able to pick up right where we left off, if I don’t see them often. I love that with each friend I have a different connection with them that makes us close. I also love making new friends!! Friend enrich life and make it exciting!

First, alot of your favorite things are my favorite things too. Especially the fall, it's starting to get cool and I just love the feel and smell of the fall. Also, thank you for loving my brother so much. The saddest day was when he moved out to college at Faulkner (HA HA, left the nest before his big sis.) I cried and cried. I knew that no matter what, at that time in our lives, our days of living at home as we knew it with mom and dad were over. At that time I knew we had grown up. Granted we still didn't know anything like we liked to think, but we were now adults. Destined to do so many different things with our lives. Anywho, I'm so glad to have you as a sister in law and I'm glad my brother has someone who loves him so much and sees all the wonderful things he is and has to offer.
